Well Pump & Water System FAQ

Have questions about your well pump, pressure tank, jet pump, water treatment system, or a no-water problem? Superior Water & Wells helps rural homeowners understand what may be happening and when to call for service.

Why do I have no water at the taps?

No water can be caused by a failed pump, pressure switch problem, tripped breaker, control box issue, pressure tank failure, broken waterline, clogged filter, or low well water level.

Do you deliver water or fill wells?

No. Superior Water & Wells does not provide bulk water delivery or well filling. We service and repair the pump, pressure, treatment, and water system equipment that brings water to your home.

Why is my pump running constantly?

A pump that will not shut off may be dealing with a pressure issue, leak, failed pressure tank, broken waterline, worn pump, or pressure switch problem.

Why does my water pressure go up and down?

Fluctuating pressure is commonly linked to pressure tank problems, pressure switch settings, pump wear, clogged filters, or waterline restrictions.

Why does my well water smell like rotten eggs?

A sulphur smell is common in some private wells and may require testing, filtration, carbon treatment, oxidation, or other treatment depending on the cause.

How often should I change my UV bulb?

Most UV bulbs should be replaced once per year, even if the bulb is still glowing, because UV strength drops over time.
